Mr. Mike Roth is back from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He witnessed the latest in the fine church organs Rodgers has to offer. This informational meeting brought forth some sweet sounds from the Signature Series line and many other fine instruments as well. Shirk's Researching Musical Instruments for Worship

Mike Roth, President of Shirk's Piano & Organ, will be attending a midwest regional Rodgers Instruments meeting in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio tomorrow. Mr. Roth will research all of the latest Rodgers Classic Organs to learn more about these new instruments and their use and funtion in today's worship settings. Rodger's Instruments will be featuring the demonstration of their Signature Series organ line.

Marching into Spring with Shirk's

It is SO much nicer to go outdoors in warmer weather. The staff at Shirk's has noticed many more people visiting the store since the weather has picked up and we would like to say a big "THANK YOU" to everyone who has paid us a visit. Spring is Almost Here and Music is Everywhere!

As the sun begins to shine a little longer each day, the staff at Shirk's Piano & Organ looks forward to musical events such as the Stickley Memorial Piano Competition. The purpose of this 15th Annual competition is to honor the memory of Elnora Hartman Stickley and to reward talented pianists in the Michiana Area. The competition is sponsored by the South Bend Area Music Teachers Association.

Deadline for submission to participate in the competition has passed. Auditions are scheduled for Friday and Saturday March 5th and 6th at the Colfax Auditorium in the Main Branch of the St. Joseph County Public Library in South Bend, Indiana.

The Winners Recital will take place on Sunday March 14th, 2010 in the Annenberg Auditorium of the Snite Museum at the University of Notre Dame.
